SRD R350 20 February Status Check

SASSA announced to start distributing the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant between 20 February 2026 and 25 February 2026. Only beneficiaries with an approved status will be able to receive payment for the month. To confirm your eligibility, you can check your SASSA SRD status online to see your grant approval and exact payment date, as SRD R350 grant payments are not made on the same payday for everyone.

  2. Enter your South African ID and cellphone number.
  3. View your SRD grant status for the February 2026 payments.

If your status is approved, you will be paid for February 2026. Mark your calendar using the official SASSA payment date schedule above so you know exactly when to collect your grant money.

SRD Payment Release for February 2026

Once your SRD grant is approved, SASSA will pay your grant into the bank account you provided in your application. If you don’t have a bank account, you can collect your grant at the supermarket pay point, such as Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay, USave, or Boxer. Take your valid South African ID and your SASSA card to collect your grant amount in cash.

For February 2026, SASSA has not increased the SRD grant amount further, so you should receive exactly R370. If you receive less, report possible fraud by calling the SASSA toll-free call centre on 0800 60 10 11.

20 February 2026 Update: SRD Payments and ICROP Community Outreach Same Day

Distribution for SRD grant payments is set to commence on Friday, 20 February 2026. On the same day, the Minister of Social Development, Ms Nokuzola Sisisi Tolashe, will lead an Integrated Community Registration Outreach Programme (ICROP) at KwaNokuthula Sportsfield, Ward 5 & 6, Skhosana Street, Plettenberg Bay, as part of the government’s commitment to bringing services closer to communities and strengthening service delivery.

The timing of the ICROP outreach is suitable for all beneficiaries who have questions about SASSA grants, application difficulties, eligibility criteria, and any payment issues that need to be resolved on the spot.
