SASSA has announced the disability grant payment date is set for Thursday, 3 July 2025. To receive your payment without delays, check your disability grant status online at the SASSA website srd.sassa.gov.za.
You will need to enter your South African identity card and the mobile number used during your application to view your status. If your status shows as approved, your grant will be paid according to the scheduled July 2025 SASSA payment dates.
Your disability grant status must be verified in the SASSA system to receive your monthly payout. If your biometric ID, banking details, or personal information are incorrect, visit your nearest SASSA office to verify your identity before the grant is paid.
July 2025 SASSA Pay Day for Disability Grant
Following the old age grant scheduled for early July, SASSA is prepared to distribute the disability grant on Thursday, 3 July 2025, to all eligible beneficiaries.

Disability grant payments will be processed between 08:00 AM and 04:30 PM on the scheduled pay date of 3 July. This include any other linked grants such as the Care dependency and Grant-in-aid.
Beneficiaries are advised to verify their grant status for July 2025 and stay informed about confirmed payments for the month. Your approved disability grant money will be deposited into your bank account and made available for collection at participating retail outlets.
If your disability grant is declined, you can submit your SASSA appeal for July 2025. The Department of Social Development (DSD) will review your application, and if approved, your disability grant will be paid, allowing you to continue receiving financial support from SASSA.
Update: SASSA Gold Cards remain valid for July 2025. However, future payments will be processed through the new Black Cards once all beneficiaries have successfully transitioned, as confirmed by Postbank CEO Nikki Mbengashe during a recent media briefing.
