July 2025 SASSA Status Check: Avoid Missed Payments
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has started processing grant payments for July 2025. All beneficiaries are advised to perform their July 2025 SASSA status check to avoid missing the monthly grant payment. Grants will only be paid to eligible beneficiaries with an approved status for July 2025.
July 2025 SASSA Status Check: Avoid Missed Payments
To check your grant status for July 2025, visit the SASSA status checker at srd.sassa.gov.za to see whether your payment is approved, pending, or declined. If you applied for SASSA R370 Grant or any other social grant for July 2025, you will find your application status there.
You can use the SASSA status check for all grants, including the Social Relief of Distress (SRD), Old Age, War Veterans, Disability, Care Dependency, Child Support, and Foster Child grants.
For the approved July 2025 grant, payments will be processed on the following official pay dates, when beneficiaries will receive their funds for the month.
- Wednesday 2 July: Old Age Grant
- Thursday 3 July: Disability Grant
- Friday 4 July: Child Support Grant
- 25 to 31 July: SRD R370 Grant
SASSA deposits approved grant payments directly into your bank accounts, and if you are a SASSA cardholder, you can withdraw funds at retail stores and ATMs partnered with the agency.
Update: Gold Cards are still valid for July 2025 payments. However, they will soon be phased out.
Postbank is committed to transition all beneficiaries to the new black cards, which offer more secure transactions and help reduce grant disruptions and identity theft.
What to Do If Your July 2025 Grant Application Is Declined
Beneficiaries whose grant applications are declined for July 2025, including new applicants, must appeal within 90 days. Appeals can be submitted online at srd.sassa.gov.za/appeals or your nearest SASSA office.
The Department of Social Development will resolve your SASSA appeal. If it is found valid, your July 2025 grant will be approved, and even if delayed, the payment will be made from the original unpaid date.
