2. Click on the Change Contact link to verify your identity as the original applicant.
3. Provide your identity proof by providing.
   • Your 13-digit South African identity number.
   • Your 6-digit Application ID (AppID) received by SASSA during your Sassa Online Application or Reapplication.
4. Input the required details and click the Submit button to authenticate your identity in the SASSA database.
5. After successful verification, proceed to the ‘Change Phone Number’ service to update your contact information.
6. Enter your new cell phone number and click the Send PIN button to receive a SASSA OTP Code.
7. Insert the one-time PIN (OTP) you receive and click Verify PIN to confirm updating contact details in the SASSA system.

You can now expect to receive a confirmation of your cellphone number change request from SASSA via SMS and email. This happens when the Sassa verification is complete, and your new contact number is linked to your grant for payment processing.

Important: SASSA applicants only submit one request within 24 hours to change SRD phone number for SASSA contact details.

Note: Submitting your ID number will confirmed that your cellphone number used for the SASSA R350 application (SRD R370) or any other Social Grant was changed without your consent.
