For September 2025, SASSA child grant payment date is scheduled to begin on Thursday, 4 September 2025. The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed that payments for both the Child Support Grant and the Foster Child Grant will be released on the specific pay day. - To check your child grant status for September 2025, visit the SASSA website at sassas.co.za.
- Enter your ID and phone number used to submit your foster child or child support grant application.
- View the displayed status for your grant for September, including your payment date for the month.
With an approved status, your child grant will be paid on the scheduled SASSA payment dates.
Payment distribution for the Foster Child Grant (FCG) and the SASSA Child Support Grant (CSG) will begin from 07:30 AM to 4:00 PM on Thursday, 4 September 2025.
Eligible beneficiaries who are also qualified for the top-up will receive the additional Child Support Grant Top-Up to help cover the costs of raising a child.
SASSA will pay your approved Child Support Grant for September 2025 directly into your bank account if your banking details are updated on the SASSA portal. If you do not have a bank account, you can withdraw your monthly grant money using the Postbank-issued Black Card at ATMs and designated payment points.
Important Note: For new applicants, SASSA takes up to three months to process a Foster Child Grant and Child Support Grant application. If approved, your payment will be made from the date of your application.
