SASSA Confirms Completion of August 2025 Grant Payments
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has confirmed that all social grant payments for August 2025 have been completed, including the finalisation of the R370 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant.
All SASSA Grants for August 2025 Paid
Beneficiaries of the Old Age Grant, Disability Grant, Child Support Grant, and Care Dependency Grant received their social grant payments earlier in the month according to the published schedule.
SASSA has now confirmed that the final round of SRD Grant disbursements has also been completed, ensuring that all approved applicants have received their August payments.
All grants were paid directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts, SASSA Postbank Black Cards, and at authorised retail outlets including Shoprite, Checkers, Boxer, Pick n Pay, and Spar.
Verified Beneficiaries Received August 2025 Grants
SASSA highlighted that only beneficiaries who successfully completed their ID verification and August grant review with the agency were able to access their August 2025 payments.
Those who did not complete their grant review and identity verification for August 2025 have faced delayed payments.
With August payments now closed, SASSA has confirmed that the September 2025 payment distribution will begin on the scheduled.
Important to Note: Beneficiaries are encouraged to check their SRD SASSA status for September 2025 to ensure their grant is approved and verified, avoiding payment delays.
