Grant beneficiaries have several options for receiving their grant payments for June 2025. SASSA can deposit your grant directly into your personal bank account, or you can use alternatives such as the SASSA Gold Card or the new Black Card to collect your approved funds at Post Office ATMs or participating retail stores.

Of all the available payment methods, SASSA recommend using a personal bank account to receive your grant money.

To use your bank account for SASSA grant payments and to update your details after switching to a new bank, follow these steps.

You’ll receive a secure link via SMS to update your banking details.

Complete the required fields, including your bank name, account type, branch code, and account number.

Submit the form so that SASSA can update your banking details for the June 2025 payment.

Once your banking details have been successfully updated in SASSA’s system, your grant will be paid into the new bank account for June 2025 and all future months.

Important Reminder for Beneficiaries

SASSA has reminded all beneficiaries that any mismatch in banking details, especially if the bank account is not in the beneficiary’s name, can cause payment delays or even result in the June 2025 grant payment being declined.

Members of Parliament have encouraged beneficiaries to consider Postbank as a no-fee option, highlighting how bank fees affect SASSA grants. However, SASSA confirms that beneficiaries are free to choose any bank or financial institution they prefer.

Reconfirm that all your information is correct before submitting it. Also, check your banking app on the scheduled SASSA payment dates for June 2025 to confirm your grant payout has reflected in your account.
