You can reapply with Sassa Reapplication for the required social grant when you receive a ‘SASSA Status Pending for Reapplication’. This process provides applicants of SRD R350 and other grants who were previously declined due to incomplete grant applications lacking the required information.

You can submit a Sassa reapplication for R350 and social grants for supporting reasons.

• Expired grant: If your temporary disability or care dependency grant expires and you are still unable to work, you can reapply.
• Changed in circumstances or conditions: If your circumstances have changed and now meet the SASSA grant criteria since your initial application.
• Update your existing application: If your application lacks key details or incorrect information, reapplication supports you update your details.

SASSA Reapplication

You can reapply for the SASSA grant by following the easy steps to reconsider your SASSA R350 application and receive your funds.

1. To submit a Reapplication you need to visit the Sassa webpage at https://srd.sassa.gov.za/
2. Select your identity class from the given options.
   • South African ID Holders
   • Asylum Seekers and Special Permit Holders
3. Click on the South African ID to reach the next page to proceed with SASSA reapplication.
4. Click on the service link ‘Update your Existing Application for Reapplication’
5. Enter your 13-digit South African identity number and mobile number linked to your existing Sassa application.
6. Update your application details and provide missing documents to correct errors before reapplication.

7. Click the resubmit button to have your reapplication submitted to Sassa for R350 grant or social grant.

Note: If it’s determined that the decision made by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) was incorrect, your grant will be reconsidered and reinstated for monthly payments.

When Your SASSA Reapplication is Processed and Approved

For every new application or reapplication, the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) typically takes between 60 to 90 days to process the request. This timeframe is allocated for various verifications conducted by SASSA before final approval is granted.

Once your reapplication for a specific social grant or Social Relief of Distress (SRD) R350 has been successfully approved, you will receive an SMS notification from SASSA on your registered cell phone. This message will contain information about your reapplication approval, including your Application ID and applicant reference number, which will be used for processing in the future.

2. Provide the necessary details to check your Reapplication status for SASSA Reconsideration.
3. Enter your South African ID number and the cell phone number used to submit your SASSA Reapplication.
4. Your reapplication status results will be displayed on the screen for your applied SASSA grant.

The SASSA Status Check provides you with detailed information about your application status considering its current processing stage. If it shows as pending, you’ll need to wait a bit longer until Sassa completes the processing and reaches a final decision. Once approved, you’ll receive monthly payments for your approved grant.
