Update Your Phone Number or Miss SASSA Grant in June 2025

SASSA beneficiaries who have recently switched to a new phone number must update their phone number or miss the SASSA grant in June 2025. Your phone number is important for your grant, not just for checking your grant status each month, but also for receiving payments, OTPs (one-time pins), and important messages from SASSA.

Update Your Phone Number or Miss SASSA Grant in June 2025

SASSA uses your registered phone number to send monthly payment updates, confirm grant approval or rejection, process appeal responses, and verify OTPs (one time pins). If you no longer have your phone number, you won’t be able to receive payment notifications, complete identity verification, or access your grant money for June 2025.

  1. To update your phone number online, go to srd.sassa.gov.za.
  2. Proceed to the “Change phone number” service.
  3. Enter your new number and complete your ID verification as the original applicant.
  4. Once verified, your phone number will be updated in the SASSA system.

Note: Make sure the mobile number registered in your name matches your original Identity document.

Once your new phone number is successfully updated and verified, you can check your SASSA status online to confirm it’s linked to your grant application, whether it’s an SRD R370 grant, old age grant, child support, or disability grant. This process is the same for all grants and helps ensure you receive your June 2025 payment without any delays.

Accurate contact details are just as important as your banking details for SASSA payments, both must match your original ID to avoid any issues.

Important: If you’ve lost your old phone (SIM card), immediately call SASSA’s toll-free number 0800 60 10 11. You need to report the lost number first, then follow the steps provided to update your number online or visit your nearest SASSA office for further assistance.
