For June 2025, approved SASSA funds will be paid directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts. Those without banking access can collect their grant money from major retail partners such as Pick n Pay, Boxer, Usave, Spar, and Shoprite using their SASSA Gold cards, which remain valid for June 2025 payouts.
If you’ve transitioned to the new Postbank black card by 31 May 2025, you will still receive your SASSA payments on the exact pay day unless your account is frozen. In that case, SASSA recommends switching to a different bank account and updating your pay information using the ‘change banking details’ to avoid any delays in your grant payout.
