SASSA start commencing the SRD grant payments scheduled from Monday 23 December 2026 to Monday 30 December 2026. Beneficiaries of the SRD program will now receive R370 (ZAR), an increase from the previous amount of R350 South African Rand.

Update: The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) SASSA R350 grant has increased from R350 to R370 payments, providing an additional R20 for beneficiaries. Both new and existing recipients benefit from the increased payments throughout the year 2026.
